In the summer, jazz and live performances bring even more energy to the square.

The new city square provides a direct link to the banks of the Leie and the center of Kortrijk. With an excellent Mobiscore of 9/10, shops, public transportation, educational institutions, and cultural venues are all within walking distance. It takes just five minutes to cycle to the Grote Markt, while nearby access roads also ensure easy access by car.

Architecture

The DamasK project, designed by Adins-Van Looveren, blends historical elements with modern architecture. The design subtly references the former flax warehouse—now the Texture Museum—and respects the heritage of the Overleie neighborhood. Warm bronze tones and brickwork visually harmonize with the museum and the surrounding homes, while modern construction techniques ensure contemporary living comfort. Thanks to rhythmic volumes, a columnar structure, and large glass sections, DamasK appears as a natural addition to the existing site.

Interior & Ambience

Every apartment is filled with light and views, featuring 2.70-meter-high ceilings and large windows overlooking the town square, the Leie River, or the lush greenery of Gasstraat.
